The week ahead…
Folks! Here’s a quick update on what to expect with programming this week.
There will be three days of strength – squat, deadlift, press – with a fourth day dedicated to Olympic lifting. Going back to basics (more to follow later..), so hold off on going too heavy this week. It will be tempting, but the plan is to increase the weight by 5-15 lbs each week depending on the movement, your experience, your technique, etc. As always, technique is king, so if you’re limited by mobility overhead or reaching depth in the squat, your coach(es) will work with you on some mobility drills to help you get there. Be patient!
Be ready to run Wednesday and Saturday.
A nice little barbell chipper awaits you on Thursday.
And bring your jump ropes on Friday.
As always, a great Hero workout awaits you on Sunday, as it has every Sunday this year.
