**This is a tough workout, a tough weekend. Memorial Day is about remembering those who served our country and gave the ultimate sacrifice – their lives. Simmons was a LEO who served the city of Los Angeles. You will see another hero workout tomorrow (for open gym) and Murph on Monday. Remember these people and the impact their lives had on others.

For the snatches, make all your reps quality reps. You’ll be doing a lot of volume today, so keep your warm up light and snappy. Your work with a PVC pipe should look the same as when you’ve got weight on the bar. These aren’t touch and go, but you must be able to control the weight down. As mentioned in Friday’s IG Live video, there’s a difference between building to a heavy weight and finding your X-RM. We’re not maxing out. And depending on how your shoulders feel from Friday, these might not get very heavy. So use it as a chance to really hone in your snatch and overhead squat skills.

**Randy Simmons, 51, a 27 year LAPD veteran and SWAT team member was killed February 7 in the line of duty. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Simmons’ wife and two children.
