Hey Old Cityzens!
Posting this a day later than usual due to the Monday holiday. I’m glad we had a good turnout this morning at open gym – now it’s time to get back to work!
We checked off our September event right away the Sunday’s wine tour. Looking ahead, we have Stretchflix and Chill in October where we watch a Halloween themed move and stretch. Before then, I’d call it an ‘unofficial’ gym event is the DC Throwdown happening THIS Saturday over at District CrossFit. We have about 10 teams participating and are ready to KICK ASS! The workouts have been posted, and the heat schedule can be found HERE. I’m sure more information will be posted to the FB Community group as it gets closer.
I’m going to keep the announcements short as you can find MORE information in the September newsletter that was sent out Sunday.
On that note, let’s see what’s coming up for the rest of this week.
Tuesday – Bench press (10) and a DB couplet.
Wednesday – Combining two girl WODS for some running, overhead squats, and pull ups.
Thursday – Maxing out on thrusters (3) and following it up with a push/pull triplet including the barbell and some dips.
Friday – Double strength day. As mentioned in the ‘what’s on the whiteboard’ portion of the newsletter, we’re backing off of back squats this month, but you’ll see front squats a couple times during double strength day.
Saturday – Long workout with your jump rope, dball, and getting inverted.
Sunday – Open gym + gainz club + HeroWOD + yoga.
Starting to get back to normal!
