Happy Monday! Happy end of the month! Happy end of 22.1! Happy end of wall walks for at least another month, right??? Eww!!

CrossFit Open Stuff

Please remember to get scores in by 8pm Monday night. Coach Jen has until Wednesday night to validate all scores. Then wait with bated breath until the announcement of 22.2 on Thursday.

We’ll have 3 total weeks of the Open Workouts happening Friday during class and Saturday during open gym. All classes will be participating in the Open, using the standards listed as much as possible. These standards might differ than what we’re used to doing for certain movements, which we saw on the wall walks with both feet needing to be on the wall before hands could move beyond the line, and the step down v jump down on the box jump overs. And that’s the fun of it! Being able to adapt on the fly with these unknown and unknowable challenges is part of what CrossFit is about.

Mask Mandate
The mask mandate ends on Monday. Starting Tuesday, March 1st, masks are no longer required to be worn in the gym. The disposable masks will still be provided for people that still plan to workout with one. If you do test positive for covid, we ask that you still follow the CDC guidelines for quarantine.

Let’s see what’s coming up this week..

 

Monday – Double strength day with touch and go power snatches E2MOM and bench press.

Tuesday – Long workout, multiple rounds, with Man Makers.

Wednesday – Back squats. Allll day. Use what you did on 2/24 or 2/18 to determine today’s weight.

Thursday – Deadlifts for strength with an 8 minute tabata to follow. Don’t worry! No burpees!

Friday – CrossFit Open WOD 22.2. Watch the LIVE announcement on Thursday at 3pm. What are your guesses? Toes to bar? Pull ups? Double unders? Something with a barbell?

Saturday – Handstand push up skill work and a “Chief”-like AMRAP with no rest.

Sunday – Rest Day! Relax, and we’ll see you back in the gym tomorrow!
