Hey Old Cityzens!

If you’re looking for something to do this week, consider coming into the gym for a workout. We’ve gone all out and we’ve got everything you’re looking for – deadlifts, Furbies, pull ups, some rowing, and maybe Dan Cortez will show up. You never know!

Not much to say this week, as evident by that intro, but I just want to remind everyone to check out the newsletter that was emailed out today. And if you have borrowed, or are still borrowing equipment from us, please fill out inventory form linked in newsletter. Join Jess for the Zoom WODs on M/W/F at 5pm as well as the HeroWODs on the weekend. And see what programming looks like for the month.

On that note, let’s see what’s coming up this week for workouts..

Monday – Knocking out our skill work early with some toes to bar as well as some double unders in the workout.

Tuesday – Double strength day with some muscle and power snatches, as well as some glute bridges.

Wednesday – Looking workout, you say? Here you go! It’s a take on an Open workout from 2015 or 2016 that involves rowing and thrusters.

Thursday – Here’s your deadlift day. We started the new cycle last Friday, but we’re getting away from eccentric work and doing heavy 5s and 3s this month.

Friday – Finally using the rig for strength work and will start things off with push press. The workout is another ascending ladder of reps (by 2s) in this triplet with strict press and step ups.

Saturday – Oh, this gon’ be good. This is a barbell intensive week as we’ll cap it off with this triplet of double unders, burpees, and a barbell complex.
