Hey Old Cityzens!
One month down, eleven more to go! We’re just crusin’ through 2022!
Hey, if you didn’t get the February Newsletter that was sent out last Tuesday, you can read all about it HERE. And be sure to get in touch with Kara at [email protected] to make sure you receive all email communications. And not just the ones from ZenPlanner, which is a different platform. And, no, we don’t sell or share your information with anyone else.
Did you know??
Check out some CrossFit statistics. Saturday discussion included not only the weird times that I set my alarms for (4:07a, and other multiples of 7 with the exception of 49), but the average age of members in the gym. I assumed high 20s, others said mid to low 30s. Maybe I’m just surrounded by babes that make me feel young at heart! 😀
CrossFit Open
It starts on February 24th. Sign up! You’ll be competing against the WORLD for a chance to go to the CrossFit Games. Still scaling workouts? That’s okay! There’s a scaled division where you’ll still compete against others across the WORLD. Check out this article then SIGN UP!
Let’s see what’s coming up this week..
**Mostly task v time priority workouts (11 min video), decent amount of overhead work, and running makes a return to the workouts this week!
Monday – Deadlifting and Curtis Ps. It’s been awhile since we’ve done some front rack lunges.
Tuesday – Long task priority workout (15 rounds anyone??) with low reps for each movement – wall balls, dballs, and toes to bar.
Wednesday – Handstand push up skill work with some running and KB swings.
Thursday – Double strength day with some power cleans (pause!) and Romanian deadlifts. Ahh.. those Romanians sure know how to build a posterior chain.
Friday – As mentioned in the newsletter, we’re knocking out the benchmark girl WOD “Barbara” today. Take care of your hands, as this is a high volume bodyweight workout with pull ups, push ups, sit ups, and squats.
Saturday – Back squats, DB snatches, and burpees. All the favorites!
Sunday – Rest Day! Phew! Relax, and we’ll see you back in the gym tomorrow!
Let’s have another great week!
