**Skill work days are really fun. These remind me of our double strength days where we take the time to slow down the movements to work on pieces of the whole. You’ll see this Thursday with our snatch work, but today our focus is on the pistol and 3 key components to mastering the movement – ankle mobility, balance and pushing. Lots of variations to each of these parts, and the videos linked above are only snippets of what you can do. So work with your coach to find the right scale for YOU.
Then put your practice to work in the workout where you’ll see pistols in action! The feet, ankles, and lower legs will be getting a lot of attention today and will need some TLC after all this jumping with box jumps and double unders.
