**Sticking with this sprinty/interval theme. You might’ve noticed these work/rest workouts happening the last few weeks – 40/20 x 12; In 6 min do, then rest 3 min; 3 x 1000m row then rest 3 min; 5 min AMRAP, rest 2 min.. etc. Building aerobic capacity while working on our anaerobic engine. Went out too fast on the 1k rows last Saturday? Significant difference in Tuesday’s 5 min AMRAPs? Looking to hit the same times each round. We’re switching things up from one Olympic lift on Wednesday to the other one today.
How are those shoulders feeling? I’ve heard some grumblings about sore chests from “Cindy” on Monday. If that’s still bugging you, get in some stretching to loosen up your pecs since that can be a limiting factor in your overhead position. And you’ll be overhead a lot today. Snatching and lunging. Forward or backwards step okay? Yes. Weight wise, on this, we want you to be able to move. Remember, it’s a sprint. If you’re struggling on the lunges, lower the weight a touch and focus on killer technique.
Also.. yah, it’s hot out. Bring towels, bring water, drink said water, don’t be a hero. If you need to stop or take a break.. dude.. do it. It’s just exercise. Take care of yourself.
