**In anticipation of our June girl WOD coming up next week (spoiler..), here’s a warm up for it with parts of three well known CrossFit girl WODs. One is lesser known since it’s not one of the 11 that we test throughout the year.
“Why are the Crossfit Workouts named after girls? According to CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman he named the benchmark workouts after girls (in similar way that storms are named after girls) by the National Weather Service. He felt that because these workouts are so physically demanding that they leave you feeling as though a storm hit you.”
If you notice the reps for each movement, after all 5 rounds, they total 150 each. If you click on the links above to learn more about each workout and their namesake, you’ll see that 150 is represented in each workout.
I want this to pay homage to all the strong ladies out there, especially those who don’t think they are strong. You are stronger than you think. This will be a tough workout, so go out there and show just how tough you are.
Also, I feel like this workout deserves a name.. any thoughts??
