**As mentioned above, there are a number of variations that can be used for the clean and jerk. I struggle with push jerking and usually default to a split early because it’s my way of working around shoulder mobility instead of working on it.. 😐 ..so I would spend more time working on push jerks at a lighter weight. If you struggle squat cleaning heavier weights, I think you know what you should be doing today, too. And the rep scheme of 2-2-2 doesn’t mean do three working sets, wipe off your hands and call it a day. Remember, the point of double strength day is to work on these technical lifts. Break down the movements. If you want to spend the whole time doing clean and jerks, have at it. Get better at the finer points of the lift.
