**Great chance to get some weight on the bar today. We’re starting off with a complex of three movements – power clean, front squat, hang clean – to get you using your legs. There’s always the temptation to pull the bar on both versions of the cleans, but we want you thinking jump, jump, JUMP. PUSH the ground away to get as much hip extension as possible. Hopefully all that grip work you did on Tuesday will carry over to today so you can hold onto that barbell.

Finishing things off with jerks. A great time to work on the split jerk of that’s something you struggle with. Personally, I tend to default to the split when things get heavy, so this would also be a good time to just stick with a push/power jerk and get used to getting under the bar. Coaches will have some good lat and shoulder warm ups for you to do make sure you can get in a strong overhead position.

And the early classes will be listening to Van Halen all morning.
