Skill/Technique work
Toes to bar

Workout

12 min AMRAP
24 Lateral hops
6 Curtis P (95/65)
12 V up

**Big focus today on some skill work to start things off. Here’s a GREAT tutorial for toes to bar for those of us still working on them, primarily the ‘kipping lever’. This teaches you to get your shoulders in a good position and activate your lats. This movement is probably a better scale than hanging knee raises. Yes, those are useful to do as they will likely be the scaled movement for toes to bar in the CF Open sometime in the next 4 weeks. But the ultimate goal is to get your feet/toes to the bar, and you can do so with lever work.

The workout has V ups, which is normally a T2B scale. I didn’t want people to rip up their hands by doing T2B after the skill/technique work only to see them pop up again on Friday. So we’ll all be working our core with V ups. Meet in the middle! Both shoulders and feet need to be coming up off the ground. You’ll also see the seldom used Curtis P. Yes, there are many variations for this movement, and the one linked above is what we’ve done since the beginning of Old City nearly 6 years ago. Pepperidge Farm remembers those early days.
