**Building on yesterday’s cleans (there’s a bit of a theme this week) with another variation of cleans. We use the KBs mostly for swings and snatches, so we’re going to get into a new movement for some people. We’ll be doing ‘dead stop KB cleans’ that start from the ground every time. Other variations include the swing or from the hang, but we’re going to keep it like this for this workout. As with barbell cleans, key thing here is to use your legs, delay the arm bend or pull, and keep the weight close to your body. The good thing about this movement is that it’s a power clean, so no squatting! *praise hands emoji* BUT! We do have pistols, sometimes called single leg squats *praise hand emoji..yes?* So there’s a fair amount of squatting and hip extension, giving you a break from going overhead, what with the gazillion push presses on Monday and the jerks yesterday.
