The house has a nice kitchen (new stove, huge fridge, cork floors), living room (with working fireplace), dining room, stacked washer/dryer and a wine cave with dual-temp fridge. The owners live a few blocks away and are fantastic landlords–they put a lot of work into the house and it shows! Utilities tend to run about $150 per person per month (gas is higher for heating in the winter, electricity is higher for cooling in the summer). No pets allowed.
Locally, the house is a 3 minute walk from the nice, new Giant grocery at 3rd & H Sts, with a drycleaners in the same block, as well as all of the bars and restaurants along H. Parking is on-street, and the neighborhood is generally safe and quiet (lots of young families).One roommate is a 30 year old guy who works for the Dept of Treasury and enjoys Crossfit, mountain biking, hiking, playing rec sports, craft beer, and going out with friends. The other roommate is 26 year old guy, a recent law grad, and currently interviewing for legal/policy jobs. He enjoys reading, running, hiking, traveling, and trivia tournaments.

I am seeking a roommate for her one bedroom apartment on Capitol Hill. The room is fully furnished with a queen sized bed, desk, dresser and closet. The bathroom and kitchen are shared. I have a fluffy cat named Marzipan who can most often be found napping in a chair by the window. I’ve lived in this building for close to two years and loved every minute. My favorite thing about the apartment is the sunlight that comes through the bay windows and in the kitchen in the morning.
I like to cook, drink wine, listen to music and mobilize. Not necessarily in that order. Occasionally I’ll go out on H St, or if I’m feeling brave I’ll adventure off the hill. I’m a fun roommate looking for an open minded individual to split the high cost of living in this city with. Women preferred, men considered.
