Hey Old Cityzens!

Hope everyone had a greet weekend and are looking forward to more good things this week.

This past Saturday we wrapped up our third workshop and second on Olympic lifting. Keep an eye out for more to come in the coming months. There is the FREE workshop with Rose Physical Therapy Group discussing the pelvic floor on February 10th. Keep an eye out on the front board for other announcements.

Take some time this week to catch up on the Old City podcast series straight outta Old City HQ. The latest is with Jazmyne McBride, our Old City Gymnastics Head Coach who talks about her background with gymnastics and dance, as well as the Old City gymnastics program which is EXPLODING over at our former location at 810H.

Finally, a not-so-shamless personal plug since I’m in charge of these posts. I’m going to start up another blog series to follow a couple events of mine coming up in the next few months- my first powerlifting meet April 28th, and my 8th running of the MMT 100 mile trail run. I have yet to finish my final post from the 2017 running of the event, so here is a link to all my posts leading up to Part 1 of the big event. I will be putting the final touches on Part 2 this week and posting that, and then I’ll start my 2018 series. More to come soon!

I’m short on announcements this week, so let’s get to it and see what’s coming up this week..

Monday
– Back squat, KB swings, and sprints.

Tuesday
– No strength today, so it’s a long workout with rowing and dballs among other things.

Wednesday – Power clean and push press combo for strength. A little EMOM couplet to follow with sit ups, hopefully getting you to do sit ups faster.

Thursday – Bench press and the benchmark girl WOD “Cindy”

Friday
– This is our double strength day, a snatch complex followed by some good mornings. Then we’ve got an Open workout lined up for ya to get you in the competitive spirit.

Saturday
– Another long workout this week includes some heavy deadlifts and double unders.

Sunday
– Hero WOD + Gainz. Typical Sunday.

Let’s have another great week!
