Our first couple+roommate blog post!!! This ought to be fun!
Meet Graham and Meredith:
Now meet their third wh…err…roommate, Carissa:
Packed and loaded this Kenya native…
…is all set and ready to to skydive. Carissa’s mom is an anthropologist and studies monkeys, and her dad was the director of Kenya’s national park system, so Carissa got to spend a lot of her childhood far off in wild and wonderful places. Carissa moved to San Diego to go to school where she picked up her bachelors and masters degrees. She moved to DC about a year ago to work for the World Bank, and has recently become another Old City CrossFit Student Athelite, as she works towards her PhD in Conflict Analysis at George Mason.
She also kissed a giraffe.
Speaking of kissing giraffes…
…Graham has never kissed a giraffe.
Don’t let that bow-tie fool anyone, Graham is an athletic machine. At Santa Clara University this dapper young gentlemen rowed for the Varsity Crew team all through college. Currently, Graham works at a State Government Affairs firm in Arlington, where he has been told more than once to never wear his pink bow-tie ever again. Luckily for us, Graham doesn’t listen…
…to anyone other than Meredith!
And how could you not listen to the angelic words coming from this lovely bridesmaid who appears to be gearing up for a mid-dance-floor-fist-bump with the bride. Don’t let that purple dress fool you, Meredith is also quite the athletic specimen as well. Today she loves running (finishing the Rock and Roll marathon earlier this year), but back in college at Northwestern Meredith loved winning the NCAA Division 1 National Championship in Lacrosse!
Well, folks, any house with a giraffe kisser, a bow-tie wearing sky diver, and a National Champion has got to be a lot of fun. I’m excited that you all decided to join Old City. If you all are half as much fun as your pictures, we’re in for a real treat! Welcome to Old City!
