That’s right! Old City CrossFit is now a part of the Farm Bus Family! What’s the Farm Bus? That’s a great question. The Farm Bus is a Richmond based CSA that runs around the greater Virginia/Maryland area and picks up delicious, fresh, seasonal food and delivers it directly to you at drop points around the city.

You pay for your shares upfront, so the cost can look initially overwhelming, but it’s actually fairly cheap for the quality of food that you’ll be receiving. Here’s a breakdown of the cost:

Meat: $34/delivery ($374 total)

Produce: $44/delivery ($484 total)

Dairy: $33/delivery ($363 total)

Full Share: $118/delivery ($1298 total)

There’s also a once per season $40 membership fee added onto any share order – this covers the cost of transportation and delivery. There are also a few discounts that are offered:

  • 10% military/veteran discount. Just email [email protected] with your proof of military service.
  • 5% discount, for any paid in full share. Enter code “UPFRONT” at checkout.
  • If you join with the FULL share package (veg, meat, dairy, bread), there is no $40 membership fee.

Old Cityzens Justin and Kara have been using The Farm Bus for years and rave about it:

The food is always great, the prices are much cheaper than Whole Foods, and you really can’t beat the convenience. We’ve been doing this for years and don’t think we’ll ever stop.

There’s one small catch – we need 10 people to sign up or our drop point gets moved to Eastern Market. So what are you waiting for – sign up! If you have any questions just email [email protected] and they’ll answer any questions you might have.
