How does someone discover a passion for running while playing lacrosse in the Netherlands?  I have no idea either, but Kim is living proof that it can happen:

Kim, a public education administrator and soon-to-be English as a Foreign Language teacher at Georgetown, started her athletic career as a middle school basketball star.  After realizing the WNBA wasn’t in her future, it took Kim 8 years and a trip to Europe to rediscover her passion for sport.  While in the Netherlands, Kim picked up lacrosse along with a Masters Degree, and presumably a new found respect for the color orange.

After returning to the US, looking for a challenge, Kim used her running foundation developed from years of lacrosse, and knocked out a 1/2 marathon!  Kim’s passion for running slowly fizzled out, and lucky for us (and you guys!) Kim found Old City CrossFit and is excited to for us to “totally kick her butt.”

Kim, welcome to the family!  We’re happy to have another Founding Father of Old City CrossFit!
