Hey Old Cityzens!

I hope you had another great week and were able to enjoy some time outside despite the rain.

If you were busy on Saturday and missed out on axe throwing – you’re in luck! as it was rained out. A new date is TBD, so hopefully more people can make it then. Keep an eye out on the white board, the August newsletter, and these weekly posts for when the new date is announced.

Reminder, too, that we have Tshirts for sale – $25+ tax. Even if you missed the original preorder, we got a second batch in a few weeks ago. These are all mens/unisex sizes from S to XXL. Talk with a coach and make sure you grab yours and rep Old City.

I’m short on announcements and sarcasm today, but I’ll give you an early heads up that I’m going to resurrect my “Jen Does Stuff” blog series. It has been dormant for awhile, but since I’ve got a few things in the pipeline I thought I’d pump some life back into before the summer is over. You can always follow – or creep on – my adventures via my Instagram page so you have a bit of an insiders look of what’s coming up.

Speaking of what’s coming up.. nice segue here.. let’s see what we have coming up with strength and other workouts this week..

Monday – 20 min triplet. Going heavier and higher.

Tuesday – Bench press, lighter efforts, followed by some gymnasty work and static holds.
Be
Wednesday – Power cleans, then some clean and jerks. If you’ve got some muscle ups, here’s a chance to bust them out in the workout.

Thursday – Double strength starting off with barbell lunges again and some stiff legged deadlifts or RDLs. Then getting on the erg for max calorie rows.

Friday
– Not gonna hide this one – “Fight Gone Bad”.

Saturday – Back squats followed by a 50-40-30-20 workout with double unders and bodyweight movements.

Sunday – Open gym + gainz club + Hero WOD + yoga
